Hyperscale data center recruiting.
Owner-side CMs, MEP engineers, QA/QC, commissioning leads, and schedule analysts placed on active AWS, Google, Meta, Oracle, and Microsoft programs. The bench lives at Data Center TALNT.
Hyperscalers we staff
Operator-specific bench depth. Active programs as of 2026.
Amazon Web Services
Active placements in the IAD region (Northern Virginia / Mid-Atlantic). Multiple seats placed inside 3 business days on a single program.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Ongoing program — 7 placements in April 2026 across CM, QC, and Project Engineer roles. Multiple campuses, multiple regions.
Hyperscaler bench depth maintained for SLN6A-style campus builds and similar.
Meta
Owner-rep recruiting for active US regions where Meta is expanding hyperscale capacity.
Microsoft
Bench depth maintained for Azure region buildouts.
OpenAI / Stargate
Emerging AI-data-center programs — MEP engineers with liquid cooling and 80-150 kW/rack design experience.
What makes hyperscale recruiting different
Hyperscale data center construction is its own talent pool. Owner-side CMs must run OACs where the GC is openly behind. QA/QC engineers must speak TIA-942, BICSI, OFCI scopes, and the hyperscaler-specific commissioning protocols. MEP engineers for AI data centers must execute liquid cooling at 80-150 kW per rack — not just CRAH-cooled enterprise systems.
Generalist staffing firms can’t credibly screen for these. Our specialty practice — Data Center TALNT — exists specifically to run the working-interview rigor that hyperscale clients need. Each operator’s Cx specifications, procurement cadence, and quality systems are different. We bench accordingly.
Frequently asked
- What's different about hyperscale data center recruiting?
- Three things make hyperscale recruiting a distinct specialty. First, the operator-specific commissioning protocols — AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Oracle each maintain their own Cx specifications, and a generic CxA can't credibly govern an owner-rep Cx role on a hyperscale campus without that specific operator-system fluency. Second, the scale — 100+ MW programs running concurrent multi-trade work require CMs with actual hyperscale credit, not Tier-2 colocation experience labeled as data center. Third, the AI data center inflection — GPU-dense compute at 80-150 kW/rack forces a different MEP toolkit (liquid cooling, medium-voltage distribution at the rack, W4/W5 chilled water) that didn't exist in enterprise data center construction a decade ago.
- Which hyperscalers does TALNT Team / Data Center TALNT staff for?
- Active or recent owner-side placements across AWS (IAD region — Northern Virginia / Mid-Atlantic), Oracle (April 2026 program — 7 placements across CM, QC, Project Engineer roles), Google, Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI / Stargate. Bench depth is calibrated separately for each operator because their procurement, scheduling, and quality systems differ materially. Full case studies live at the Data Center TALNT site.
- Can you place at the AI data center / GPU-density tier specifically?
- Yes — that's our fastest-growing bench segment. AI data center MEP engineers (direct-to-chip liquid cooling, rear-door HX integration, immersion cooling design, 80-150 kW/rack busway distribution, W4/W5 chilled water plant design) are scarce industry-wide. We screen specifically for engineers who've executed actual AI data center builds, not engineers who designed enterprise data centers a decade ago and read about liquid cooling on LinkedIn. For deep AI data center MEP staffing, Data Center TALNT's bench is the play.
- How fast can you place a Sr CM on an active hyperscale build?
- 5 business days is the typical average for a single Sr CM placement when our pre-vetted bench is calibrated to the hyperscaler's program. 3 business days when we run multiple concurrent seats on the same client (a recent AWS engagement closed 3 owner-rep seats — 1 CM + 1 Sr CM + 1 Schedule Analyst — in 3 days). For specialty roles (medium-voltage substation specialists, L5 IST leads), timelines extend to 10-21 days because the bench is thinner industry-wide.
