Data center recruiting, across the build chain.

Owner-reps, general contractors, colocation operators, and developers — hyperscale down to smaller spec builders. We staff construction, MEP, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations roles end-to-end. The deep specialty practice operates under our sister brand Data Center TALNT.

Who we staff for

The data center build chain has very different talent needs by role on the project. We support all four of them.

  • Owner-Reps — hyperscaler programs and institutional owner advisory groups running OAC oversight, P6 audits, and quality governance.
  • General Contractors — Tier-1 and regional GCs delivering hyperscale and mission-critical work. Field supers, project managers, MEP coordinators, schedulers.
  • Colocation Operators — multi-tenant colo platforms scaling capacity. Site reliability, facility engineering, critical environments management.
  • Developers — hyperscale and smaller spec developers acquiring land, permitting, and delivering capacity. Development managers, real estate, entitlements, MEP design leads.

Why a specialty practice for data centers

Data center construction is a different talent pool than commercial construction. Owner-side construction managers must run OACs where the GC is openly behind. QA/QC engineers must understand TIA-942, BICSI, OFCI scopes, and operator-specific commissioning protocols. MEP engineers for AI data centers must know liquid cooling at 80–150 kW per rack — not just CRAH air-cooled enterprise systems.

Generalist staffing firms can’t credibly screen for these. We built Data Center TALNT specifically for the working-interview rigor this vertical requires. Same TALNT Team operating standard. Deeper bench. Different name on the door for clarity.

The roles we staff

Owner-side, GC-side, colo, and developer seats — across hyperscale and mission-critical builds.

Construction Managers (Sr CM / Field CM)

Owner-side CMs who can run an OAC where the GC is openly behind. P6 baseline fluency, GMP oversight, multi-trade coordination on 100+ MW campuses.

QA/QC Engineers (Owner-side)

Hyperscale-grade ITPs across civil / structural / MEP. USACE / NAVFAC quality lineage. NCR governance and contractor-quality validation.

Commissioning Leads (L1–L5)

Mission-critical Cx scripts, system turnover gating, vendor coordination, integrated systems testing. Hyperscale operator specifications.

Schedule Analysts (P6 / PSP)

Time-impact analysis, contractor schedule audits, owner-position support in schedule disputes. PSP-certified or equivalent.

Project Engineers / Coordinators

Procore document control, RFI / submittal logging, OFCI tracking, closeout package governance.

MEP Engineers (AI Data Center)

AI data center MEP specialists — liquid cooling, 80-150 kW/rack power density, W4/W5 chilled water design, GPU thermal modeling.

We also place GC-side superintendents and project managers, colocation site reliability and facility engineering leads, and developer-side development managers, real-estate leads, and entitlements specialists. Different roles, same vertical bench.

Frequently asked

What's the relationship between TALNT Team and Data Center TALNT?
Data Center TALNT (datacentertalnt.com) is our specialty brand for hyperscale data center construction and operations staffing. Same operating standard as TALNT Team — Recruiting for Recruiters, embedded recruiting, working-interview screening — applied to a dedicated bench of owner-side data center talent. When a client's hiring needs go beyond the data center vertical, TALNT Team handles it. When they need hyperscale construction depth, Data Center TALNT is the deep play.
Why does data center recruiting need a specialty practice at all?
Hyperscale data center construction is a different talent pool than commercial construction. Owner-side construction managers must run OACs where the GC is openly behind. QA/QC engineers must understand TIA-942, BICSI, OFCI scopes, and hyperscaler-specific commissioning protocols. MEP engineers for AI data centers must know liquid cooling at scale, not just CRAH air-cooled enterprise systems. Generalist staffing firms cannot credibly screen for these. We built Data Center TALNT specifically for the working-interview rigor this vertical requires.
What hyperscale operators has TALNT Team / Data Center TALNT placed at?
Active placements span Oracle (hyperscale program — 7 placements in April 2026 across CM, QC, Project Engineer), AWS (3 owner-rep placements in 3 business days in the IAD region — 1 CM, 1 Sr CM, 1 Schedule Analyst), and other hyperscalers. The full case-study list lives on the Data Center TALNT case studies page.
Can I use TALNT Team for non-data-center recruiting too?
Yes. The data center vertical is one of three TALNT Team practices. The others are energy sector recruiting (renewable, grid, EV / battery storage) and tech / growth-stage recruiting (R4R / embedded model for software, fintech, etc.). Same TALNT Team engagement, multi-vertical depth where the client needs it.
